In their latest collaborative effort, etnies partners up with longtime brand friend and filmmaker Kevin Smith (Clerks, Chasing Amy, Dogma) for a shoe simply being called the Smeaker. Inspired by his weekly SModcast podcast with partner Scott Mosier, the Smeaker features a black suede and canvas upper, orange accents, white vulcanized outsole and black rubber underfoot. Smeakers branding is embroidered on the tongue, while Forgeticus (an element of the SModcasts) is embroidered on the heel.
To launch the Smeakers, etnies will join Kevin Smith at Comic Con in San Diego on July 21st. The new shoe is being celebrated with an exclusive, live SMODCAST taping and launch party.
Etnies and Kevin Smith fans can win a pair of VIP tickets into the SMODCAST party, a pair of the new etnies Smeakers and a gift bag from etnies and Kevin by "liking" etnies on Facebook and then submitting their entry.
