Mostly recognized for his unique hairstyle, Elfrid Payton of the Orlando Magic is on his way to becoming one of the league's top flight point guards. The rookie out of Louisiana-Lafayette is averaging 8 points, 6 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.5 steals, Top 10 among first-year players in every category. Orlando has had its struggles this season, but the future is bright with Payton.
Throughout his rookie season, Payton has played in GR and iD colorways of the Nike Kobe 9. Last night, with the Magic visiting the Houston Rockets, Payton laced up the 'Oreo' Air Jordan 4. Could Jordan Brand be adding a young point guard? That's purely speculation at the moment, but he'd be a quality addition to Team Jordan.
Payton finished with 10 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds, but the Magic fell 107-94.
