For the past two decades, EA Sports and Nike have collaborated on footwear and apparel surrounding the video game publisher's most notable franchises, including the NFL Madden series. This year, the two parties are linking back up for a celebratory take on the Air Max 90.
Aligned with the August release of Madden 24, the "Play Like Mad" Air Max 90 features a brown leather upper, including football textured panels and the phrase 'Play Like Mad' imprinted on the lateral side. Accent hits of blue, red, and white likely reference the EA Sports logo and NFL shield, which appear on the tongue and insoles of the shoes, respectively. There's also a possibility that the hues are a nod to the game's cover athlete, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
Nike hasn't yet announced an official release dates for the EA Sports collab, but anticipate a drop sometime this summer on the SNKRS app for $140 and keep an eye out for updates in the coming weeks.
