If you're going to snap a 17-game win streak, you have to do it in style. So, for tonight's game against the Houston Rockets, which happened to land on Drake Night, Toronto Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan debuted something special from Kobe Bryant's retro sneaker line.
What first appeared to be a black and gold PE colorway to sync up with the Raptors' alternate uniform is actually a "Mamba Day" Nike Zoom Kobe 1 Protro that may release. The re-worked shoe is marked by Kobe's Achilles stich lines on the left heel, while the right reads '4.13.18,' the 2-year anniversary of Bryant's final game. Nike hasn't announced a release, but all signs point to a new Mamba Day tradition beginning next month.
DeRozan had 23 points and 7 rebounds in the Raptors 108-105 victory.
