Best Look Yet at the 'Pearl Blue' Air Jordan 9

Inspired by Michael Jordan's Carolina roots and the 2019 NBA All-Star Game's host city, the 'All-Star' Air Jordan 9 Retro features a familiar look, but with a new twist.

When Michael Jordan and the Charlotte Hornets host NBA All-Star Weekend in 2019, Jordan Brand will mark the occasion with a collection of Carolina-flavored Air Jordan retros.

In addition to the Air Jordan 1 High, the Air Jordan 9 is set to debut in a new UNC-like make-up. While images of the upcoming retro haven't surfaced yet, ZSneakerheadz shared the following mock-up, which indicates something similar to the original "Powder" colorway, but with an infusion of navy blue. The look, however, has not yet been confirmed.

The "All-Star" Jordan 9 Retro is expected to release in Feb. 2019, likely with the standard $190 price tag.

UPDATE (1/9): Confirmed by j23app, the upcoming "All-Star" Air Jordan 9 Retro will be a high-top version of the "Blue Pearl" Air Jordan 9 Low from 2002—not a fresh take on the "Powder" colorway as previously mocked up. The release date is set for Feb. 9 at a retail price of $190.

UPDATE (01/30): Official images of the "Pearl Blue" Air Jordan 9 Retro slated to release next month for NBA All-Star weekend in Charlotte have surfaced.
