The "Alternate '89" Air Jordan 4 release was a concept based on the idea of Player Exclusives existing around the time the model originally launched. The first Jordan 4 PEs, however, didn't actually arrive until 2005, and quite a few have popped up over the years since. Surprisingly, very few pairs have made it to the court; instead, they're more frequently spotted on the baseball diamond—a surface that Michael Jordan is very familiar with.
With the Air Jordan 4 back in rotation, we're put together a gallery of PE versions that have never made it to retail. Although, with Jordan Brand opening up their vault a bit more these days, you never know what we may see drop in the future.
