Now that Adidas has your attention, its digging into its archives to reintroduce some extremely overlooked models, but this time with a twist.
The Consortium A//D Pack consists of the forgotten Twinstrike and AdiStar Comp, each retaining their original construction and tooling, but enhanced with fresh, futuristic details. The shoes feature Climacool mesh, premium suede, glossy leathers and reflective accents. Adidas explains the meaning of A//D in a press release.
"Drawing from archive Adidas designs from the early millennium, the A//D (Adidas Parallel Dimension) series tells the story of the discovery of an alternate Universe following the appearance of a massive black-hole in outer space. Through a number of expeditions into the parallel dimension, researchers find that the two worlds are virtually identical, with the exception of minor aesthetic differences."
Available in sizes 4-13, 14 and 15, the Twinstrike A//D ($240) and AdiStar Comp ($160) will release at Consortium accounts next Thursday, Sept. 21.
