Here's my lone forecast for the Fall: ventile will be used, a lot. (This does not reflect the views of Four Pins as a whole, just my own over-observant, pattern-recognizing trend-analysis.) While we've seen it thrown sparingly into various collections in the past, I'm getting the impression that this season is when it will really pop off. Nike's new NSW Ventile Anorak (which you may have seen in our Fall Forecast Nike Sportswear editorial) reinforces this slightly arbitrary trend forecast of mine using a safety orange Ventile Cotton with fully taped seams to give you a jacket you can probably stand in a hurricane without getting wet in (for a few minutes, at least). The Tier-Zero jacket just released on Capsule, and will set you back $400. Get your water-resistance game on.
