Last night, Nike took to its 2020 Forum runway show during New York Fashion Week to showcase brand new athlete uniforms for the upcoming Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, all while gathering together a handful of its top collaborators.
The sportswear giant kicked off its show by displaying the new threads that the top athletes will be wearing during this summer's massive sporting event, which included uniforms for basketball, track and field, and a newcomer to the Olympic games, skateboarding. And it the middle of it all, there was also a dance performance from the runway models.
A preview of upcoming projects from the Swoosh was revealed including Sacai's Chitose Abe, Ambush's Yoon Ahn, Matthew M. Williams of 1017 ALYX 9SM, Undercover's Jun Takahashi and of course, Off-White's Virgil Abloh who were all tapped to showcase their take on sports apparel and footwear seen below.
As the show progressed, there was also a touching tribute to both Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna who both tragically passed away in a helicopter crash on Jan. 26 with young girls hitting the runway rocking oversized Los Angeles Lakers jerseys featuring Bryant's numbers 8 or 24.
Below, here are all of the top names that were spotted in the front row at the 2020 Nike Forum runway show.
