Balenciaga's newest sneaker may have just overtaken the Triple S as the most controversial silhouette from the brand. Earlier today, the luxury fashion label unveiled its new Zen model that released as part of its upcoming Spring/Summer 2020 season but it didn't take long before Twitter began roasting the model.
In terms of design, it's fairly similar to the $30 U.K. Lonsdale Benn soccer sneakers but omits the use of leather and is instead created with a 100 percent polyurethane construction in both white and black-based colorways, which sits atop a rubber sole. Unlike the inexpensive price tag of the Lonsdale, the Balenciaga Zen retails for a whopping $550.
