adidas are changing the game with its ALPHAEDGE 4D sneaker and the model's latest drop takes its vibe to another world – quite literally.
The ALPHAEDGE 4D 'Space Race' brings a wavey cosmic aesthetic to the streets, with galactic design features that include iridescent panels and star dust texture throughout the upper. The ALPHAEDGE's complex geometric lattice structure sits beneath the star-inspired upper, bringing science and street culture together in one fire drop.
The ALPHAEDGE 4D is one of the year's hottest sneakers and the concept was first unveiled by FUTURECRAFT – the brand's innovation incubator – in 2017 and is headlined by a unique midsole that's created by a light and oxygen powered 3D-printing process that turns programmable liquid resins into a sneaker that has elite fit, form and function.
This one-of-a-kind construction is the result of a collaboration between adidas and its partner, Carbon, and eventually has the potential to create personalised footwear based on the individual needs of an athlete, and the demands of the sport they play.
