The crew then introduces its viewers to its latest Heat Check artist—YBN Cordae—who has been co-signed by the likes  of hip-hop legends such as Dr. Dre, 50 Cent and Diddy. Shortly after this, the crew introduces a new segment called ‘Versus,’ where Akademiks and Wayno debate on who had the better verse of recently released songs. This is not guys in suits sitting behind a desk analyzing the Xs and Os of a game. This is two football players arguing over what spot has the best post game wings or whose shoe game reigns supreme. 


The set is less traditional TV studio set and more baller hangout. Super Bowl champion Martellus Bennett will host alongside James Davis and Ben Lyons as they chat about the lifestyle around the game: the fashion, the shoes (of course), the Tweets, the eats, the locker-room tunes, and all the off-field topics. The show is fun and light hearted, and filtered with the DNA that makes Martellus such a one-of-a-kind personality. He's a big kid and a geek at heart who's super curious about the world around him.

On the Sticks is Complex’s first gaming series and follows Akademiks as he travels from city to city challenging a different celebrity guest each week to a game on Xbox One. As they play, they’ll talk music, culture, giving back and what’s new with each guest.  At stake is more than just bragging rights, as the winner of each episode walks away with a highly coveted prize while the loser is forced to take on a punishment that really hits home.

In Price the Hype's final game, the contestant wins a grand prize pair of hyped sneakers and is faced with a gauntlet of five questions. The only way the contestants walk away with the sneakers in brand new condition is to answer every question correctly. For each the question the contestant gets wrong, the sneaker gets damaged with one of the show's five tools of destruction.
