adidas Originals’ ongoing collaboration with Parley for the Oceans continues this week on two special edition Deerupt models.

Made with Ocean Plastic® — Parley’s material created from plastic waste intercepted on beaches and in coastal communities—  the innovative, ecological material used on the model helps combat marine plastic pollution as well as raising awareness for a vital cause.

The upcycled Parley material has been integrated throughout two, new  Deerupt sneaker colourways. They feature a sock-fit reversed mesh upper and a stretchable web overlay which increases comfort and fit by compressing the foot to the mould of the silhouette. Each Deerupt also features a classic rubber outsole, low-key lacing system and a minimal suede patch on the heel.

Parley’s fresh signature blue palette gets dripped on to the original Core Black and FTWR White colorways,  and the cutting-edge technology throughout the shoe gets rounded off with a fitted NFC chip in the heel, which, when scanned, reveals the full story of the shoe from plastic bottle to final product.
