With Kobe Bryant's career just a few weeks away from its end, Nike is taking it all the way back to where it started with this "Draft Day" colorway of the Kobe XI EM. Of course, this means dressing it up in a Charlotte Hornets' colorway, as a nod to the team that drafted and then immediately traded him to the Los Angeles Lakers.
We've seen this colorway on Bryant's sneakers before, and this one goes a step further by including "6.26.96" on the right heel. This EM version of the XI also uses a Hyperfuse upper instead of Flyknit like the regular and Elite models. With this being his last playing sneaker and the 20 year anniversary of that draft coming up, this sneaker represents two historical parts of Bryant's storied career.
