Nike's foray into the world of luxury fashion continues with a special Air Max 90 designed by Japanese label Sacai.
The collection aims to put an inventive and colorful spin on traditional sportswear by infusing familiar silhouettes, like the Air Max 90 and Nike Dunk, with bold updates. While the Dunk has yet to be previewed, we now have the best look yet at the signature runner, which was first teased with an on-foot profile shot in the collaboration's lookbook.
Sacai strips the AM90 of its lacing system, opting for a slip-on aesthetic that almost appears anchored by a wedge outsole. Both colorways—navy and white—are done up in a smooth leather upper with elastic tongues. Underneath sits a Max Air unit at the heel that complements the sneaker's updated form.
No word yet on an official release date, but dudes better pray that they'll be able to squeeze into a women's size 12.
