Last year the Jordan Shine got a lot of attention, but this year it looks like there’s a new kind of shine. For the last couple of weeks, photos of a patent leather Air Jordan IV have been floating around, that could have been passed off as creative Photoshopping and rumors, but this latest photo by controversial sneaker Instagrammer kickordie removes a lot of doubt.
The sneakers, which are generally accepted to be a pair of 11lab4s (Jordan IVs taking design inspiration from Jordan XIs) features an upper made entirely of black patent leather. The paneling of the shoe has been simplified with some hyperfuse molding, black leather takes over for the lining, and it looks like the laces might even be waxed.
These shoes still live in the world of “potential,” but as more and more photos pop up, the “possibility” is looking ever more like an “eventuality.” Stay tuned for more info.
