Earlier in the week, photos of a never-before-seen pair of red Air Jordan 1s were circulating on the Internet, leading many to wonder if it was part of Jordan Brand's Chinese New Year-themed collection. Turns out, it is in fact a sneaker to celebrate the Year of the Sheep, but just not an official Jordan Brand creation.
Sneaker customizer The Remade is responsible for this crazy pair of red Air Jordan 1s done up in a premium leather and suede combination. The sneakers feature Chinese character imagery and a clean gum bottom to complement the fiery upper.
According to Sole Collector, only eight pairs will be released—four each for China and the U.S. A launch is set for Chinese New Year, which falls on February 19.
