This one's hard to stomach.
Nick Young took to the court last night against the Washington Wizards and wore a pair of O.G. "Cool Grey" XIs from 2001. No surprise that Swaggy P wanted to stunt on the court as he was our choice for sneaker MVP last season.
Not even a full half went by and the outsole on his left sneaker, which showed a considerable amount of yellowing, separated from the rest of the midsole. Ouch.
Could Young have avoided this if he had worn the 2010 retro of the "Cool Grey?" Maybe, but it's tough to say. When you're competing hard at the NBA level, there's always a chance of something like this happening, even on sneakers that recently released. Just ask Manu Ginobli.
