The probable poaching of Kevin Durant from Nike by Under Armor has surprised many, but might remind you of a similar situation not too long ago. When Kanye left Nike to go to Adidas it shocked almost everyone, and the first question was: what about the Red Octobers? Kanye went and got a better deal, but with that relationship in flux, Yeezy fans were left uneasy.
Eventually the ROs were dropped at a random time on a random day. A lot of people had a lot of feelings. Now it looks like Nike’s KD7 Lifestyle might be in the same boat. Durant might leave Nike before they even get a chance to drop these KD7 Lifestyles, since they’re not slated to release until later in the year.
For now, we can get a good look. Brown suede covers the shoe from toe to heel with suede straps creating not only the lacing system, but the look of the shoe. Waxed cotton laces and a gum sole make the whole upper tonal, except for a woven strip up the heel with Native American inspired embroidery.
Look for these to drop in the next few months. Or not? Guess we gotta see what happens with Under Armor.
