The release of this year's first-ever Nike SB x Air Jordan sneaker was long overdue, considering the history of Air Jordans—specifically 1s—in skateboarding culture. We got our first preview of what a possible collaboration could look like when Nike SB dropped the "Jordan Pack" Dunk Low back in 2005. Although not a collab with the Jumpman, the sneaker was inspired by the high-top "Royal" 1s.
Fast-forward almost a decade later, and we now have an official Nike SB x Air Jordan sneaker. But it also looks like SB will be returning the "J-Pack" as a high-top. Take a look at this image that recently surfaced that shows a Dunk High outfitted in similar colors as the "Royal" 1, but with a slight difference in color blocking compared to its low-profile predecessor.
No word yet on an official drop, but expect this to be well-received by a culture that absolutely loves the "Royal" 1s.
