With the chaotic October 5th release of the “Bel Air” Air Jordan V’s now in the books, it looks like all of you sneakerheads can expect to see a third helping of the Fresh Prince-inspired kicks in a couple of days. Next up to carry the multicolored torch will be the Jordan 6 Rings. Fully equipped with a vibrant purple upper, the folks over at Jordan Brand sparred no expense when it came to incorporating quite a bit of neon coloring about the silhouettes accents. Much like its AJV counterpart, this upcoming pair of 6 Rings will also feature the same funky colored inner lining that has become synonymous with the entire “Bel-Air” collection. Scheduled to release this coming Saturday, October 19th, do these really have what it takes to add to the incredible level of hype/excitement the “Bel-Air” theme had coming out of the gate? Seeing as how crazy things got for the V’s and how fast they sold out, the pressure is on for the 6 Rings to perform this weekend. While this particular Jordan hybrid has achieved retail success in the past, we can’t help but feel like this release is going to be highly overshadowed thanks largely in part to the AJV release earlier this month. Guess we will all just have to wait and see what happens, but we won’t be surprised if these wind up playing the “Bel-Air” background.
