Sony held its annual PlayStation Showcase on Thursday, giving gamers a sneak peak at several long-awaited titles coming to the PS5, confirming some rumored releases, and dropping a few surprises. Let’s take a look at some of the announcements below.

Insomniac Games released footage for the follow-up to its previous games, Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which is slated to be released in 2023. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will feature Venom, and will be available exclusively on PS5. Excitement for this sequel can best be summed up by one YouTube commenter who wrote, “I gotta stay alive until 2023.”

Sony confirmed reports from a few months back that a remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was in development with a teaser that includes nothing more than an up-close look at Darth Revan, but we’re already sold. The original, which came out nearly two decades, takes place thousands of years before the events in the Star Wars films, and has been widely considered one of the best games in the franchise. Like the previously discussed titles, KOTOR will be a PS5 exclusive.

Back in September, a teaser trailer for God of War: Ragnarok was released that showed next to nothing, aside from a 2021 release date. Of course, the pandemic put a crimp in those plans. Now we finally have our first look at the follow-up, which picks up a few years after 2018’s God of War

Much like God of War: Ragnarok, Gran Turismo 7 was announced last year, but today’s showcase came with additional visuals, and a release date of March 4, 2022 for the PS4 and PS5. We could go on and on about how great it looks, and its immersive experience, but this is GT7 we’re talking about, if you’re a fan of the franchise, there’s not much we need to do to get you hooked.

Alan Wake Remastered is coming to the PS4 and PS5, just over a decade after its initial release. The story follows Wake, a best-selling writer, who realizes he’s the main character in a horror story he doesn’t recall writing after awakening from a car crash outside of Bright Falls, a small town in Washington that has been taken over by a Dark Presence. Outside of its improved visuals and gameplay, this remastered version also includes two expansions previously available as downloadable content. It will be out on Oct. 5.
