Looks like the rumors were true.

Keke Palmer, 29, announced that she’s expecting a child while hosting Saturday Night Live. Palmer revealed the news during her opening monologue in her SNL hosting debut. It will be Palmer’s first child. According to People, the child’s father is Palmer’s boyfriend Darius Jackson.

“There’s some rumors going around. People have been in my comments saying, ‘Keke’s having a baby,’ ‘Keke’s pregnant.’ And I want to set the record straight. I am,” she said before opening up her jacket to show off her baby bump.

The actress continued, “I gotta say, though, it is bad when people on the internet spread rumors about you y’all, but it’s even worse when they’re correct. I mean, like, I was trying so hard to keep it on the down low, cause I got a lot of stuff going on, you know? […] But honestly this has been the biggest blessing, and I am so excited. Guys, I’m going to be a mom.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Nope star joked that some might feel a bit weird about her having a baby because she was a child actor.

“Even though some people feel a little weird about me having a baby ’cause I was a child actor, I just wanna say, look, I’m 29. I’m grown. OK, I have sex. I own a home,” Palmer said, before joking, “I stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6.”

Keke previously starred in films like Barbershop 2: Back in BusinessAkeelah and the Bee, and much more.
