Tom Cruise — national treasure, unfortunate Scientologist. Religious leanings firmly aside, Cruise's decades-strong star power has never really wavered. WithMission: Impossible — Rogue Nation opening on Friday, Cruise (now 53 years old and in possession of better skin, hair, and general fitness than most people in their 20s) has been enduring the press gauntlet with his usual candor. However, one particular appearance will now serve as the proverbial mic-drop of all promotional interviews.

Fear not, The Weeknd — this shit has us fucking hyped too. On Monday's Tonight Show, Tom FUCKIN' Cruise battled still-injured host Jimmy Fallon using only the power of lip-syncing. Fallon, an undeniable professional at such things, puts his best mime forward. However, Cruise's rendition of Official Song of the Summer So Stop Arguing "Can't Feel My Face" proves an unbeatable triumph of merging titans of pop culture. Shortly after, Cruise and Fallon dive headfirst into Top Gun nostalgia with a duet of "You've Lost That Loving Feeling."

If you're still debating whether or not you should go see Rogue Nation this weekend, perhaps consider the fact Cruise actually held his breath for more than six minutes during an underwater sequence and also clutched the side of an Airbus A400M while wearing protective contact lenses so he could keep his eyes open at 185 miles per hour. Sure; you might be dedicated to something in your own life, but are you Tom Cruise dedicated? Go see the movie.
