Ryan Reynolds Sneaks New 'Deadpool 2' Footage Into Bob Ross Spoof

The untitled 'Deadpool' sequel hits theaters in June. The sequel to last year's breakout (and thankfully R-rated) hit will see David Leitch as director.

Would you buy a painting from a Deadpoolian Bob Ross? For this handy lesson from the 20th Century Fox marketing concoction, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds introduces fellow prospective artists to the wide variety of colors and ingredients necessary for a masterpiece. Reynold suggests dabbing the brush with his preferred selection of Clockwork Orange, Betty White, and—presumably his favorite color—Box Office Gold.

The clip also includes a riveting cocaine endorsement and ticks along in the spirit of a typical Deadpool sequel promo until, out of nowhere, we are treated with actual footage from the untitled 2018 release.

We still don't know a hell of a lot about the tentatively titled Deadpool 2's plot, but Wednesday's "Wet on Wet" teaser comes complete with a joke-laced synopsis that seemingly contains roughly zero ounces of truth:

After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.

The sequel to last year's breakout (and thankfully R-rated) hit will see David Leitch in the director's chair following the departure of Tim Miller, who apparently left the project due to "creative differences" with Reynolds. Fans needn't worry too hard, however, as Leitch's previous work on John Wick and Atomic Blonde bodes well for the Deadpool universe.

The Deadpool sequel hits theaters June 1 and also stars Josh Brolin, Zazie Beetz, T.J. Miller, Morena Baccarin, and Leslie Uggams.
