Oscars 2024: Here Are This Year's Nominees

As we sit on the precipice of this year’s Oscars ceremony, a few things are certain. Among them, of course, is that Barbenheimer's pop culture mega-moment isn't over yet.

Both Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer and Greta Gerwig's Barbie bagged multiple nominations each at the 96th Academy Awards, and for good reason. Nominees were unveiled live from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills on Tuesday, with Zazie Beetz and Jack Quaid having been given the honor of announcing all 23 categories.

Oppenheimer already bagged the Best Motion Picture - Drama award at this month's Golden Globes, where it brought home a total of five honors. Other victors that could see their Globes victories parlayed into Oscars wins include Lily Gladstone (whose performance Mollie Burkhart in Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon is undoubtedly one of the year’s best), Poor Things, The Boy and the Heron, The Holdovers, and, of course, Barbie.

Also making a strong showing is Celine Song's Past Lives, a brilliant romantic drama that's remarkably the director's feature debut.

Below, see a full list of this year's Oscars nominees. The winners will be announced on March 10 in an ABC-aired ceremony hosted once again by Jimmy Kimmel, who's hosted the proceedings on three prior occasions.

According to the Academy, voter participation hit a record high for the 2024 nominees class, with 93 different countries represented among this year's ballot submissions. Voting for active Academy members is set to kick off on Feb. 22.
