Friday, the James Corden Viral Video Factory will release a new episode of Carpool Karaoke: The Series featuring the stars of Captain Marvel. As seen in a preview clip released Wednesday night, the episode includes at least one instance of some Ariana Grande-inspired harmonizing.
From the jump, we're given a glimpse at a car-set rendition of Grande's ubiquitous 2018 thank u, next single "7 Rings" from the increasingly masterful press duo of Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson. Then, Jackson decides to put their friendship up to the ultimate televised test.
"I think we should work on that bond of trust between the two of us," he says before picking up a guy with a lie detector kit. "But I got a friend I wanna pick up though before we get to doing that. It's gonna be dope."

In the unlikely event that you've accumulated zero release date knowledge over the past year or so, here's a friendly reminder that Captain Marvel—directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck—is out Friday. As Boden teased last September, she and the rest of the team had "a lot of fun" playing with the film's '90s elements. That fun appears to have translated well to the screen.
