Captain Marvel's Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson have inspired an entire publication to undergo a full-blown '90s transformation for its new cover.
As you can see below, Entertainment Weekly has revived some fonts and logos circa 1995 as a nod to the setting of March's surefire megahit. In the accompanying interview, Larson and Jackson spoke about the realities of entering such massive franchises and expressed their mutual desire to continue their streak of cinematic collabs.
Comparing the Marvel universe to that of Star Wars, which SLJ also calls home by way of Mace Windu, Jackson recalled telling Larson how things would "get a bit different" due to the sheer scope of the thing.
"It just changes the game in another kind of way," he said. "'Cause I had all this interesting kind of popularity or whatever, but when I got into the Star Wars universe, it exponentially changed. You become godlike in a crazy kinda way. I [became more famous] because I was a Jedi, so no matter where I went, I got accosted by the Jedi council of wherever."
"I wish I was a jedi," Larson added.
Later, the two talked continuing the multiple instances of overlap on their IMDb pages. "The thing I'm writing right now, there's no part for you in it!" said Larson, who reveals Jackson's been "begging" to be in her next directorial release. "But I will find something for you. I wanna do everything with you, Sam."
Jackson was among the cast for Larson's 2017 directorial debut Unicorn Store, which is slated for a wide release via Netflix this April. When news of the comedy's streaming release broke earlier this month, it was also reported that Larson was re-teaming with Unicorn Store producer Howell Taylor to develop Lady Business from a Fast Company article by John Paul Titlow.
Larson and Jackson have also previously appeared together in Farce of the Penguins and Kong: Skull Island.
