Black Mirror, fresh off its Bandersnatch experiment, returns with its season 5 run next month.

Miley Cyrus, Anthony Mackie, Topher Grace, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II are among the cast for the latest entry in the Charlie Brooker-created franchise. As the tagline disappointingly expresses to us, we "should have seen coming" these three new stories about the future.

Miley Cyrus confirmed her involvement with the revered mind-bender back in December during an appearance on Howard Stern's Sirius XM show. Though she didn't elaborate further on her role at the time, she did confirm it by way of a nod. Without naming the series, she also elaborated on the timing of her casting and how it put her back in touch with her love for acting.

"There's a lot of dimension to it, and actually it was while the devastation of [the California fires] was happening, and it was a really weird learning experience for me because I was so far from home and the show is already really dark, and it's already kind of eerie when you're there the whole time," she said at the time, perTHR. "But I learned a lot about myself, and I think I was able to use that and put that into it."

Black Mirror is back on Netflix June 5. The most recent batch of episodes, sans the interactive Bandersnatch, arrived back in 2017 and notably features some classics like "Hang the DJ" and "USS Callister." Get into it if you haven't.
