In today's age, money is always the motive. You best believe multi-billion dollar corporations like Burger King have employed some of the world's most creative and business-savvy professionals to devise strategies that will sell more product and reel in even more customers. Fast food chains and junk food brands, in a desperate attempt to lure in more hungry mouths, have even started directing their marketing schemes towards America's marijuana-inclined communities.
Sometimes, however, even the most competent brand strategists make colossal mistakes, resulting in the release of some of the world's most distasteful advertisements. From Carl's Jr.'s bold Kate Upton commercials to racist ads that make you shake your head in disbelief (we're looking at you, KFC), here are 25 completely inappropriate booze and food ads that make you wonder, "What the hell were they thinking?"

Licker
That's what she said. Or he. Whatever.
Breyer's
From the term "lickable" to the young girls' poses, this is beyond creepy. Does no one proof this stuff?
Smint Breath Mints
At one point, Smint Breath Mints got naughty in Spain. The brand offered customers who bought the product points with their purchase. Buyers could then redeem their points online. After gathering enough points, they could then be redeemed for sex toys. Fun! As for the ad, it was bold. What do you think? Inappropriate or gutsy?
Rice Council of America 1967
Advertisers in the 1960s were so eloquent.
KFC
You don't have to watch the whole thing to see what's so wrong with this KFC commercial. Ugh.
"Obama Fried Chicken"
Completely unrelated to KFC, OFC opened in Bejing, China. We don't even know what to say.
Nestle
Due to the inconviently-placed trash can, we'll never know what Nestle product this raunchy-looking ad was advertising.
Heinz Meats
Do you like Red Hot Balls?
Hell Pizza
Talk about dishonoring the dead. Not even a year after Heath Ledger and New Zealand mountaineer Sir Edmund Hillary died, Hell Pizza released an online ad featuring the skeletons of Ledger, Hillary, and the Queen Mother dancing on a couple of grave stones. They promptly withdrew the ad from their website.
More Sausages
This simply doesn't look appealing at all.
FLIRT Vodka
Whoever came up with this FLIRT Vodka ad was into some weird S&M sh*t, and it makes us uncomfortable.
Kate Upton for Carl's Jr. & Hardee's
Yes, this is a sexy ad. Compared to some other crude and racist images, this Kate Upton commercial shot for Carl's Jr. and Hardee's is hardly an offender. Considering Carl's Jr. and Hardee's are family restaurants, though, this was a pretty risky move.
Coke
If you look really closely, you'll see it...
Sausages
Talk about horrible ad-placement.
Guss' Pickle's Ad
Just a pickle. Nothing to see here.
Ching's Secret
And the most racist ad award goes to...
Burger King
No words are necessary.
New York Fries
For ad marketing New York Fries, this is a pretty depressing sentiment, no? Nothing makes us want to binge on fries more than knowing the world we live in is a fake one.
Carl's Jr. Banned Ad
We can't decide if this Carl's Jr. ad is sexy or smutty, or if there's a difference between the two.
Non-Alcoholic Nova Schin
While this Nova Schin ad is promoting an non-alcoholic drink, having a pregnant woman holding a glass of what initially looks like beer is risky business.
Ursus Beer
Is this beer large enough?
Bit Copa Ad
The campaign for Brazilian Bit Copa beer was more than a bit racy.
Skol Beer
Is this justification for putting a keg in the office?
Schneider Beer Ad
Argentinian beer company Schneider pushes the envelope with a pitcher of beer that looks much more like something else.
Foster's Lager Ad
You can use a variety of things to keep your beer cool. You can get a cooler, you can cover it up with a blanket or bury it in the sand if you're at a beach. Hell, you can even shot gun your Foster's Lager. But advertisers at the Australian brand decided to go with a woman's breast as a source of shade. Classy.
