Earlier this week, Andrew Zimmern ate his way through the 100th episode of Travel Channel's Bizarre Foods, celebrating his sixth year of subjecting himself to dubious delicacies that you'd never consider consuming, even in the most dire of circumstances.
After visiting 32 countries in pursuit of unlikely culinary treats, Zimmern is finally returning to the United States to seek out the unsavory cuisine that lies on our home turf with Bizarre Foods: America. Thus, to honor his foreign efforts, and the many microbial infections he's undoubtedly been contaminated with, we're paying tribute to the man who never says no to a meal.
Famously known for proclaiming, "If it looks good, eat it," Zimmern has consumed plenty of things that neither looked nor tasted particularly appealing. And he's not the only one sporting an iron stomach. Man vs. Wild's Bear Grylls, Anthony Bourdain of No Reservations, and the occasional unlucky reality TV show contestant have also choked down many nausea-inducing meals for the sake our entertainment.
