The Madden NFL 12 demo is now available on Xbox 360—PS3 users should have the demo this evening—and players will get to play the NFC Championship game between the Packers and the Bears. We also have the top 5 rated wide receivers from the game for you to peruse and debate over. It’s very strange to talk about the best wide receivers and not mention the now-retired Randy Moss. We’ll miss his dynamic gameplay both in Madden NFL 12 and on the Sunday night highlight reel.
The top-rated wide receiver is Andre Johnson who sports a 97 overall rating. His 94 speed and 94 acceleration will burn you off the line and then he’ll make an unbelievable grab with his 95 route running, 90 spectacular catch and 96 catching. Tied for second place are Roddy White and Larry Fitzgerald with overall ratings of 96 each. Fitz has amazing hands but is relatively slow (87 speed, 89 acceleration) while Mr. White is as slippery as an eel (92 elusiveness, 92 juke, 87 spin). Next up is Reggie Wayne (95 overall) who has the best catching stats in the game (99 route running, 98 catching, 97 spectacular catch). And tied for fifth place are Calvin Johnson and Greg Jennings with overall ratings of 93 each. [via ESPN]
