The creators of yet another popular Tumblr have managed to snag themselves a book deal. This time it’s Rich Kid Of Instagram and, rather than an Urban Outfitters-style collection of past posts, RKOI will be used as the basis of a forthcoming novel.
The book, which will be written by RKOI’s creator and author Maya Sloan, is described as “[a] dishy and hilarious tale about the intersecting lives of the world’s most extravagant, unapologetically uber-rich teenagers.” Sounds obnoxious.
Its Amazon description reads:
“In a world that is smaller, more connected, and more competitive than ever, where nothing is off limits, some kids are just trying to make a buck—or ten thousand. Prepare to be wowed by this saucy, compulsively readable book about the hilarious display of extravagant wealth and the teenagers who have fallen into it.”
The book is now available for pre-order and will be out in summer 2014. Read at your own peril.
