Sexting has already scandalized this nation's parents, but legislators in Kenya are even more offended by the act of sending salacious messages.
According to Kenyan newspaper the Star, it will soon be illegal to sext, even among consenting adults. The move is reportedly a reaction to a surge in sexting and "exchanges of obscene, nude personal pictures and adult content sites on smartphones" by teenagers using WhatsApp, Google Talk, and Facebook. Kenyans can expect to face a fine of 5,000 shillings ($57 US) and up to three months in jail if found guilty of distributing obscene messages. Cray.
