Every year around mid-October our country celebrates one of our more controversial holidays: Columbus Day.
The Italian explorer pillaged, raped, and killed his way through America and yet we let kids out of school and send workers home one October Monday in his name. With America's track record of celebrating people who aren't the best (see: Bill Clinton, Lil' Wayne), it's not really surprising the holiday has lasted so long. But fear not, the Internet still has a lot to say, complain, and cuss about the debatable day. And more often than not, they have no idea what they're talking about.
Once again, we found 20 more ignorant tweets about Columbus Day you can read while you enjoy the extra day off because of a genocide commited centuries ago, or while you sit at your desk being resentful that you're not. Happy Columbus Day!
