After being confronted by his mother about his drinking problem, a New Jersey man tried to make a point by blowing up a shotgun shell. Why he thought this was a good idea is anyone's guess, but NBC New York reports that it resulted in the loss of the man's index finger.
Evidently the man had tried to place the shotgun shell inside a metal pipe and then hit his Macgyverd bomb with a hammer. Rather than doing what he expected it to do (again, not really sure what the optimal outcome would have been) the shell exploded and blew off his appendage. Let's hope the man learns his lesson and stops drinking, fighting with his mom, and building makeshift explosive devices in his shed.
If this man were a rat, he would probably feel regret right about now.
