Mike ‘Sugar Bear’ Thomspon has been undergoing numerous surgeries since splitting from his ex-wife Mama June in 2014, but according to TMZ, Sugar Bear was reportedly in Los Angeles on Thursday to give his teeth a makeover when a dentist discovered what looks like mouth cancer inside his lower gums.

From liposuction to a hair transplant and tummy tuck, the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo reality star has been reportedly reinventing himself now that he’s back on the dating scene. A rep for Sugar Bear, who is the father to Honey Boo Boo, told the outlet he was in L.A. to secure new teeth from Dr. Tania Farshi when the dentist discovered white spots lining his gums, a common sign of mouth cancer. Sugar Bear had reportedly been an avid chewing tobacco user, which decayed his teeth hence why he was in the market for some new chompers.

Sugar Bear is now going to see a cancer specialist to get more concrete answers.

Mike ‘Sugar Bear’ Thomspon rose to fame as the father on the TLC series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, which was ultimately canceled after it was revealed his ex-wife was dating a convicted child molester named Mark Anthony McDaniel, Sr. Mama June, real name June Shannon, was then arrested in 2019 on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

As reported by TMZ, authorities responded to a domestic dispute between Mama June and her then-boyfriend Geno Doak. Doak was patted down and was found to be in possession of a needle, which led authorities to search June’s car and her persons. Police discovered a pipe with residue inside her jogging suit, as well as a needle on the driver’s floorboard, and a green pill bottle with a white powder inside the glove compartment. She reportedly admitted to authorities the white powder was crack cocaine.

In 2021, Doak was sentenced to 16 months of house arrest, while June was sentenced to 100 hours of community service, along with court supervision and random drug screenings. Her reaction was filmed as part of her WeTV reality series Mama June: Road to Redemption.
