Legendary actor Anthony Hopkins compared Kim Kardashian’s new SKIMS face wrap to a similar item he donned in his 1991 film The Silence of the Lambs. The 87-year-old took to Instagram to lovingly troll the reality star and businesswoman with an iconic message.
Wearing the facial shapewear, Hopkins looked straight into the camera. He spoke directly to Kardashian in his Hannibal Lecter voice.
“Hello Kim, I’m already feeling 10 years younger. Goodbye.”
Following, Hopkins recreated his famous slurping noise from the film as his eyes widened and he gave the camera a sly grin. He captioned the clip, “Thank you, Kim. Don’t be afraid to come over for dinner.”
Hopkins was applauded by his followers, who thought this post was genius. These admirers included celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Heather Dubrow, Rebecca Gayheart Dane, and Jeremy Renner.
Kardashian has not yet responded to Hopkins’ offer for dinner. However, one Instagram user believes that this spoof is the greatest promotion the reality star could have hoped for.
“This is the best publicity you could get, Kim Kardashian! Lol. You have to reply. This is so epic!"
Hopkins played Hannibal Lecter in the 1991 film The Silence of the Lambs. He co-starred alongside Jodie Foster, who played young FBI trainee Clarice Starling.
Starling used Lecter to gain insight into another killer on the loose, known as Buffalo Bill. As Clarice delves deeper into her investigation, Lecter offers chilling clues in exchange for glimpses into her troubled past.
The psychological cat-and-mouse game intensifies as Clarice races to stop Buffalo Bill before he kills again. Ultimately, she uncovers the killer’s identity and rescues his intended victim, while Lecter escapes, leaving behind a chilling promise to return.
