Game will be interwoven with show's episodes

Xbox One exclusive Quantum Break already looks pretty graphically amazing, using many of the same motion capture and face scanning technologies that made Beyond: Two Souls such an interesting idea. But Quantum will also ship with tie-in TV episode included with the game that will fit within the story.

"Acts of the game are interwoven with episodes of the show," Quantum Break's lead writer Sam Lake - of Alan Wake fame - told Polygon in an interview. "What we have as connecting tissue are these moments of choice related to the fiction of time powers.”

Quantum Break’s main story will be affected by a bad guy who can see the consequences of actions in time as a glimpse into the future of two seperate choices. Players can explore these visions and make choices as to which comes true.

“…this junction ability where he's able to see glimpses of different futures, different timelines. It's almost like a dynamic player-created cliffhanger at the end of each act.”

The TV episodes will elaborate on the choices you’ve made in the game and expand the gameplay within the next chapter by giving clues to unlocking new content.

Quantum Break is slated for released on Xbox One in 2014 and will hopefully not suffer but overcome the stigma created by the critical flop that was Beyond: Two Souls.
