Thief, the latest iteration in the classic series that invented the first-person sneaker, drops in just five days. To celebrate Square Enix and Eidos Montreal dropped a new trailer revealing Garrett, the Master Thief's, dark past, ghostly existence, and the supernatural nature of the dark world the game inhabits.
Long before Splinter Cell, Assassin's Creed, or Dishonoredthe Thief games were the sneakiest and most choice driven franchise around. Gamers can choose to go through the levels like a bull, killing everyone is sight, or take the silent, smart route without killing or attracting attention. Using water arrows to douse torches, noisemakers to distract guards then clobbering them with a black jack. But get caught in the open and there is no fighting your way out; you're dead.
Thief drops next week, February 25, for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
