The pilot, called "Tinder Me Softly," was uploaded in August but is weirdly getting traction today, and it is as insufferable as you'd imagine it to be. It's a reality show, but the tagline is "Brooklyn girls avoiding reality" because ha ha. Do they have student loan debts, I wonder.
Anyway the series revolves around four girls (Alex? Olena? Sarah? Melissa? I think those are their names?) who hang out around the Bedford Avenue stop in the hip Brooklyn neighborhood of Williamsburg, go to brunch, pout about not making brunch, go thrifting and bowling, and take Tinder headshots (should it be casual or slutty?). Yep. One of them lives in one of those high-rise luxury condos by the waterside. It's, like, Laguna Beach meets Girls, which is like something something meets Sex and the City! Also each girl has their own '"thing"—like one is always on Tinder dates, there's one who "always has a drink in her hand," one is the designated Uber caller of the group, etc.—but I had a hard time keeping track of any of them. Thankfully, there are MORE episodes of this show beyond the pilot, so you can get to really know these girls. Watch available episodes here.
