James Gunn Called Michael Rooker During Our Facebook Live Interview

Michael Rooker might have graced us with the most insane interview we've ever experienced.

Sometimes, the universe smiles down upon you in random ways. This week marks the one-year anniversary of Complex Pop Culture's Keeping Up With Kulture Facebook Live show, which also happens to be the week Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters. Lucky for us, we got Michael Rooker, who plays Yondu in both Guardians films, into the office for what turned out to be an amazing interview.

Rooker, who you may remember being featured in everything from Mallrats to The Belko Experiment, has also been in every James Gunn movie. In what turned out to be one amazing surprise to us, James Gunn called Michael on the phone to chat a little bit. It was pretty damn insane, especially since Rooker took that time to correct me on my description of Rooker's weapon (the quiver is the bag that his arrow sits in, not the arrow of itself), but you could tell that they were on some "real friends" shit by their convo on the phone.

That wasn't it, though; after reading that Rooker had been on the Avengers: Infinity War set, I braced myself and asked Rooker if he could tell us anything about the upcoming movie, which resulted him in chucking my adidas Pure Boost across the room. No, seriously:

.@kerensacadenas @ComplexPop @Guardians This is what happened when I asked Michael Rooker to tell me something about #InfinityWar pic.twitter.com/h8Dl4TaKhh

After removing his and my co-star Kerensa's right shoes, he then started tickling her foot. Deadass.

.@kerensacadenas @ComplexPop @Guardians And THIS is a clip of Michael Rooker tickling @kerensacadenas' feet. Then I point and laugh. #KUWK pic.twitter.com/yocUhri3T7

Basically, Michael Rooker was the best KUWK anniversary present we could ever ask for (and he lowkey confirmed that Chris Pratt was still on the Infinity War set, which could mean a number of different things). Check out the full interview up above, and be sure to hit the theaters this weekend to check out Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
