A Utah woman who was arrested for trying to buy methamphetamine from an off-duty cop explained that she was trying to buy her sister a birthday gift. Her sister probably would've been happier with a cake.

The Associated Press reports that Heather Rodriguez, 46, was arrested in Provo, Utah on Monday after strolling up to the officer with a glass pipe, then announcing that she wanted to buy some meth. She would later say that it was a friend's pipe, as if that mattered.

For her puzzling stupidity (the cop was off-duty, but did he have a "I sell meth" sign on his forehead?), Rodriguez was charged with possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia in a drug-free zone.
