After video footage surfaced of a Stone Mountain, Ga. alternative school founder making offensive comments about African-Americans at a graduation ceremony, her son's defense of her suggests that apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Video of TNT Academy founder Nancy Gordeuk causing a mutiny due to her "Look who's leaving—all the black people" comment went viral over the weekend. The New York Daily News reports that Gordeuk has since issued a half-apology, alleging, somewhat unsurprisingly, that the "devil" made her do it:

The devil was in the house and came out from my mouth. I deeply apologize for my racist comment and hope that forgiveness is in your hearts, Gordeuk wrote.

Taking the ignorance a step further, Gordeuk's son, Travis, unleashed a Facebook rant on Saturday inviting anyone criticizing his mother to communicate their issues to him in person:

If anyone has something to say about my mom and how she ran her graduation.
Yall n----s aren’t talkin about s--t so if u got somthing (sic) to say come see me face to face, Gordeuk added.
The feisty son even invited those offended to stop by his Carterville address — sharing his location publically on the social media post.

Granted this all went down the weekend of Mother's Day, but using racism to defend his mother won't help her case.
