A South Carolina man whose debit card was declined during a Valentine's Day date made the situation so much worse for himself when he attempted to pay with a trillion dollar bill.
The New York Daily News reports that Sumter, S.C. resident Michael Williams, 53, presented the obviously fake bill when his debit card got rejected at Applebee's. The restaurant was left with little choice but to call police and Williams was arrested and charged with contempt of magistrate's court.
He was released after being ordered to pay $262 in court fees.
