Judging from his eye, Justin Ballog presumably wishes he never tried to steal from one of Jason Chan's customers.

Chan, a former bouncer who's skilled in martial arts, co-owns acclaimed Chicago sushi restaurant Juno (2638 N Lincoln Ave.). He was immediately suspicious of Ballog when he walked into the restaurant and placed his jacket on the bar over a customer's iPhone. Once he snatched the coat off the bar and ran, Chan knew he was most likely going to have to beat someone's ass.

After confirming with the customer that his iPhone had been swiped, Chan chased Ballog down, finding him inside of Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria attempting to steal another phone using the same method. Chan confronted the man, who tried to flee but ended up being tossed through the door.

Ballog refused to back down, so Chan "neutralized" him with a kick to the head. The blow knocked some sense into Ballog, who, in a moment of painful repentance, admitted his crime to Chan before police arrived and arrested him. He was charged with misdemeanor theft.
