For nearly two decades, Patrick Sullivan Jr. was the well-respected Republican Sheriff of Arapahoe County, Colo., even winning National Sheriff of the Year just before retiring in 2002. That respect is pretty much dead, as Sullivan was arrested Monday for trying to barter sex for meth. The salt in the wound: he got busted by the same department he used to run.

According to the New York Times, the investigation on Sullivan began after police were informed that he might be dabbling in methamphetamines. Police visited his home, where he allegedly "agreed to provide drugs to a longtime, adult male associate, in exchange for sex." Two protected snitches also told cops that they did strange things with Sullivan for change, and of course meth. Ready for the real nail in the coffin? Sullivan gets to sit and think about a career down the toilet in the jail named after him (see the photo on the right).

Does anyone else think its hilarious that the man who was "the law" in "Arapahoe" County for almost 20 years is going down in flames over trading meth for sex?
