Authorities in Florida arrested a man who claimed ignorance of the legality of cocaine possession.

Police in Key West were responding to a report of screams at a resort early last Sunday when they saw 46-year-old Guy Lanchester shove his hand into a flower planter, then pull it away suspiciously. Under a gram of cocaine was discovered in the planter, and when officers with the Monroe County Sheriff's Officer began to arrest Lanchester, he played dumb.

"I don't understand. I thought cocaine wasn't illegal in Florida," he reportedly told them. Right

Lanchester was charged with tampering with evidence, as well as cocaine possession. Moving forward, let this arrest prove exhibit that cocaine is, in fact, illegal in the state of Florida.
