Now someone—*cough* Action Bronson *cough*—has to rap about "Coke stashed in the Jacuzzi."
Yesterday, the suspected leader of a cocaine and heroin ring was arrested at his Yonkers home following an investigation that spanned a year. In addition to taking 59-year-old Carlos Medina into custody, the DEA seized a drug ledger and $40,000 in cash.
A release from the Special Narcotics Prosecutor's Office claims that Medina and 10 co-conspirators sold heroin in the Bronx, Queens, Manhattan and Connecticut. They also allegedly kept stash houses in Throgs Neck and Kips Bay. At one of their stash houses, cocaine—along with a few others toys—was found hidden in a Jacuzzi:
According to Gothamist, Medina—who owns Excellent Watches & Jewelry on West 47th Street—had a drug connect in Puerto Rico and made "hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of transactions" during the year. He's facing at least 15 years in prison and a maximum sentence of 30 years if he's convicted for sale of a controlled substance in the first degree
