Let the New York Post tell it, "new hipsters" are beefing with "old hipsters" in Bushwick :
The issue apparently stems from the existence of CastleBraid, a complex where all of the cool kids hang out that rubs the old cool kids the wrong way:
There's an online compaign fighting the CastleBraid—@AntiCastleBraid—and the Post says they call CastleBraid "Where you would live if the only thing you knew about Bushwick you saw on the TV show Girls." There's absolutely no way a story about hipsters in Brooklyn could be written without someone referencing Girls, is there?
But what about the real residents of Bushwick? You know, the type that can't be categorized by an outdated (and borderline useless) term for the sole purpose of description. How do they feel about this meaningless, overblown war? "It’s funny that the people who complain about it made this area gentrified in the first place," said Carlos Juarez, who added that the money "washed the people away."
This "war" is a simple case of the pot calling the kettle black.
